Class Descriptions

Offered at Triple Creek Ranch, Inc.

Equitherapy is the use of a horse for physical, mental, and emotional therapy. Horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the rider's body in a manner similar to a human gait, riders often show improvement in flexibility, balance and muscle strength. For those who cannot or choose not to ride also benefit from grooming and tacking up exercises. Using God's awesome creature, the horse, can lead to increased confidence, patience, and self-esteem. All this strengthens the spirit and improves mental, and emotional well-being. Class sizes vary from 2 to 4 students. 8 years to 100+ years of Age

Christian Youth Horsemanship classes The youth that participate learn about horses and the requirements that it takes to own a horse. This increases confidence, patience, self-esteem and respect for others and animals. The desire is to assist the students growth in character while strengthening their relationship with our Lord. Horseback Riding is included to compliment these skills.

Class sizes vary. Students are referred by outside agencies in the community; ie, Foster Care agencies. 8 years to 18 years of age.
